Sunday morning arrived, and an early start from the hotel near the track in Stafford. Having spent the day at the ciruit on saturday, I was feeling reasonably confident with the performace of my TOP Photon. The times set on Saturday whilst running 13.5 class were well up in the standings compared to the 10.5 class. I was hoping to use this weekend to gain some more data from the car on lower grip ashpalt. And to play with a few new items and settings for 13.5 on my electronics. For the TORC championship they use many different types of tires rather than just one control tyre. I tested all day saturday on the Sorex 32r tires as this is what is used for many championships outdoors in the UK. Qualifying went very well for me. Finishing up with TQ position by nearly a whole lap. (15 seconds, with a lap being 16 seconds) the time from qualifying was also a new 13.5 track record around the Stafford circuit. With the single best lap of 16.02 seconds being the fastest lap of both 13.5 and 10.5 classes. In the finals I went on to win both the legs and the overall win. All weekend my TOP Photon performed perfectly. In being very easy to drive whilst also setting great times.
