1-2 for Muchmore at Thrashnals

Rounds three and four of Chippenham Model Car Clubs Thrashnals series saw a great 1-2 result for Muchmore UK drivers.

Driving his Muchmore sponsored Associated TC5 Olly Jefferies dominated qualifying in the 10.5 Pro Stock class but his closest challenge came from Top Photon driver Tom Green, these two drivers were well ahead of the rest of the field and lined up 1 & 2 for the two leg A final.

Also driving his Top Photon was Tom Jefferies, Tom was fifth after round one of qualifying but slipped back down the order after problems with his steering, this was sorted by the finals but the problem had dropped Tom to fourth in the B final

In leg one of the A final Tom Green got tagged in the first corner and lost time, this allowed Olly to get away and build up a lead he did not look like loosing, Tom fought back and finished a strong second. It was similar story in leg two, Tom made a better a start but Olly eased away lap by lap to win by a lap over Tom.

In the B final with his steering now all sorted Tom Jefferies drove well and was delighted with the Photon, Tom finished second in both finals behind the X ray of John Pape.

A strong showing by the Photon on carpet and Tom Green is looking to put in a challenge for the Pro Stock title at the Thrashnals.

For Olly it was two carpet victories in as many weeks, last weekend Olly won  round one of the Carpet Wars series beating fellow Muchmore UK drivers Elliott Harper and Chris Grainger, Olly was driving Lipo modified with the new weight limits for the first time at Carpet Wars and was delighted with the result but more importantly the feel of the car and the way it performed.
