2nd leg of the A started very differently to the 1st leg, with Tom and Cameron moving quickly to the back of the pack and setting up a difficult 2nd leg for themselves.  Tom Jefferies clawed his way through the pack to take 5th place which combined with his 1st leg final put him on 6 points overall.  With another 2 drivers also on 6 points, the overall results would go down to qualifying position making Tom Jefferies (Associated / CML) the deserving winner followed by a tremendous result for Dan Rowlands (Photon / Much-More UK) in 2nd place and Keiran Smart in 3rd.

Tom Jefferies takes the first leg of the A main, challenging in 2nd place was Cameron Macdonald just crossing the line with a damaged shock.  Keiran Smart took 3rd place in the first leg, followed by Dan Rowlands.

Tom Jefferies (Associated) dominates rd2 and rd3 to take pole position in the 2 leg finals.  Cameron Macdonald backs up the Associated duo in 3rd place only split by Scottish driver John Simpson.  We will update again after the end of the first leg of the two leg finals in about an hour.

The sun is shining and the sky is blue......let's hope it continues for finals and tomorrow.

Light drizzle just now as drivers briefing takes place.  Racing will start at 09:30 with superpole, followed by 3 qualifying rounds and 2 round finals.

Quite a few racers have turned up for practice and the track is currently dry.  It's fairly warm and sunny just now but we've had one shower.  Stonehaven tends to bring 'challenging' weather and with the forecast as it is, it should make for an interesting weekend of racing.

Already Tom Jefferies is looking good on the track and setting up, Associated as the one to beat!
